Assertiveness
This course will look at what it is to be assertive, and will provide participants with the skills to practice assertiveness techniques. We will look at the four different ways of behaving, be able to identify circumstances where we could be more assertive and learn about techniques like the I Statement, How to Say No and the Broken Record technique. The course is informal, interactive and fun.

Coping with Hearing Voices & Paranoia
An 8 week course to help you develop strategies to cope better with voices and other unusual experiences and/or paranoid thoughts. This course is based on principles of cognitive behavioural therapy techniques and runs in a friendly and confidential setting

Coping with Low Mood and Stress
This course provides participants with the opportunity to learn strategies to improve your mood and reduce stress. The course draws on a variety of simple tools and techniques including some principles based on cognitive behavioural therapy. Booking is essential.

Memories in Mind: Reminiscence for Older Adults
This 6 week course aims to stimulate the mind and memory by using activities to prompt recall of personal life experiences and events. Reminiscence activities promote conversation, combat loneliness and can help to improve wellbeing. The courses are informal, interactive and most importantly fun.

Dates: 17 January - 21 February (Meet & Greet session on 10 January)

Venue: St. John's Care Home, Abingdon. This course will be run for the residents only.
