Service User Involvement
There are many ways in which service users can contribute to and get involved with Oxfordshire Mind. Housing projects hold forums with the residents while Community Resource Projects hold regular service user meetings. As a service user, through these channels, you can have a say in how your services are run. We also hold reference groups for example for Quality management.
Service users are involved in the selection and recruitment of all Oxfordshire Mind workers from the short listing stage to the interview panel.
The Board of Trustees includes service users and others with direct experience of mental health problems.
Service user led activities
All Mind services welcome the ideas and skills of service users in leading activities such as art and crafts, music, sport and exercise, workshops and fundraising activities. As a service user, you can develop activities in community resource projects such as catering, promoting the service, peer support, and involvement in planning events. Opportunities also include work in services open to the public, such as a café project.
